Women’s Guild Emerging Artist Concert
Samantha Sevin
Samantha Sevin is a native of Madisonville, Louisiana. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor’s of Music in 2025 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Vocal Performance at Loyola University New Orleans. During her time at Southeastern Louisiana University, she performed multiple operatic roles, including Miss Todd in Menotti’s The Old Maid and the Thief and La Badessa in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. In 2024, she performed alongside the faculty at Southeastern Louisiana Unniversity as the alto soloist in the performance of Saint-Saens’ Christmas Oratorio. Her most recent stage performance was as Mrs. McLean in Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah.
Connor Galle
Connor Galle is a tenor from Mississippi who is currently a student at Loyola University, studying with Irini Kyriakidou Hymel. In 2023, he received a Scholarship Award from The Junior Philharmonic Society of New Orleans. Connor is a two-time consecutive winner of the Glenn Draper Award. He recently appeared in the Loyola Opera Theatre’s 2026 production of Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah. He has participated in the Houston Grand Opera’s Young Artist Vocal Academy, Indiana University’s Jacobs Scholl of Music’s Summer Vocal Intensive and in Jennifer Rowley’s Aria Boot Camp. Conner received the 2025-2026 Gulf Coast Region Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition Audience Choice - Fan favorite Award and was winner of the New Orleans Distict in the 2025-2026 competition.

Mah Jong at the Guild Home
The Women’s Guild is hosting a fun way of enjoying the game of Mah Jong in a beautiful and historic setting. These game nights will be every third Wednesday of the month, 6 pm.-9 pm. starting September 16th.
Members $15 Non-members $20
We will provide table and game sets, as well as light bites.
The price also includes iced tea and soft drinks.
If you would like, you can BYOB. (No red wine in the Guild Home)
Please buy your ticket by noon the day before so we have enough tables and chairs and refreshments
If you have a group of four, please have one member buy all four tickets so we know that the table is full.
We have several sets, but feel free to bring your own.
Bring your non-member friends. The more, the merrier!
